Starting as a part-time contractor in late 2004, Tim has moved into his role as Web Architect, Systems Administrator, CSS Guru, and PHP Ninja in 2007. He is responsible, among other things, for the day-to-day maintenance of the servers and upkeep of sites and apps over the Geisel Web enterprise.

Heather P. Smith, MSIT
Geisel’s Web Designer/Analyst — serving as the department’s digital strategist and webmaster. Heather leads front-end design, WordPress training, accessibility initiatives, and user experience improvements for the Geisel community. Since joining the Web Team in 2017, she has applied her strong background in marketing and digital strategy to help faculty, staff, and researchers effectively communicate their work online.
Heather is a Certified Web Accessibility Specialist and holds a Google UX Design certification, ensuring all digital experiences meet WCAG 2.2 standards and reflect a human-centered, inclusive approach. She is also GA4 certified and integrates data-driven insights into web projects, campaigns, and content strategy.
Her skill set bridges design, functionality, and strategy — supporting Geisel’s enrollment, communications, and research goals through a blend of accessibility expertise, marketing insight, and digital leadership.
