IRB Resources

Before starting a human subjects research project, please determine whether your study will be managed through Dartmouth College (CPHS) or Dartmouth Health (DH IRB), as each has its own IRB requirements, submission process, and resources.

The appropriate section below for detailed guidance, including eligibility requirements, submission instructions, forms, templates, and training resources:

Dartmouth College Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects (CPHS) – for research conducted through Geisel School of Medicine or Dartmouth College.
Dartmouth Health Human Research Protection Program (DH IRB) – for research conducted through Dartmouth Health (including DHMC and affiliated hospitals).
