M4 Geisel Medical Student Research Paper Competition and Award Event (2026)
The Office of Medical Student Research was pleased to host the 2026 Geisel Medical Student Research Paper Competition and Award, recognizing the outstanding research accomplishments of M4 students during their medical training, particularly research conducted in collaboration with faculty at the Geisel School of Medicine and Dartmouth Health.
Who Can Apply?
Eligibility:

M4 students only
-
Research conducted at Geisel or Dartmouth Health
-
One full manuscript submission (published or unpublished manuscript in PDF format)
-
Students must be graduating in 2026
Submission Deadline : March 15, 2026 , Submit your manuscript via email to: Medical.Student.Research@dartmouth.edu
Manuscripts will be reviewed by the Office of Medical Student Research team and faculty reviewers. Selected finalists will be notified by email.
Awards & Recognition
The top three papers will be selected to present at the Medical Student Research Award Dinner. Final winners will be determined by audience vote.

1st Prize: $2,000

2nd Prize: $1,000
-
3rd Prize: $500
Additionally, 15 semi-finalists will be selected. Each semi-finalist who attends the award dinner will receive $100.
