How did working with NH-INBRE help you?

“The research that I performed to present at INBRE was something that taught me to have pride in my work.  It was the first time a project was mine from start to finish, and I needed to be confident in my knowledge and presentation of what I completed.  INBRE provided me a sense of confidence in the lab I hadn't had previously, which has been beneficial going into every job interview I've had since.  Also, the public speaking aspect is always helpful. INBRE was probably the last time, until my current capstone, that I felt I was working on an involved research project that was completely in my hands.  I am grateful to have had that previous to this experience, as it is in the industry, and my research is being relied on for future testing in the company.  INBRE provided an opportunity to present my research to peers you are way less familiar with, which has at least given me some practice before presenting to my company now”.
