Distinguished computational scientist and informatics expert Alfredo Tirado-Ramos, PhD, has joined the Dartmouth community to lead biomedical and translational informatics programs for the Geisel School of Medicine and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock (D-H) health system.
Services will held for Roger P. Smith, PhD, at the Church of Christ at Dartmouth College on Saturday, June 23, at 11:00 AM. Smith, the Irene Heinz Given Professor of Pharmacology Emeritus at the Geisel School of Medicine, died January 22, 2018.
Barbara C. Jobst, MD, PhD, professor of neurology at the Geisel School of Medicine and section chief in the department of neurology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, has been named the Louis and Ruth Frank Professor in Neuroscience. An internationally recognized pioneer in the treatment of epilepsy and associated memory disorders, Jobst has led the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Epilepsy Center since 2008 and the Epilepsy and Cognition Lab at Geisel since 2013.
Gregory Tsongalis, PhD, a professor of pathology at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine and director of the Laboratory for Clinical Genomics and Advanced Technology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Norris Cotton Cancer Center, has received the Jeffrey A. Kant Leadership Award from the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP).
