Congratulations to Susan B. Roberts, PhD, senior associate dean of foundational research at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, who has received the 2024 EV McCollum International Lectureship in Nutrition.
This bi-annual award provides a means to encourage sound advancements in nutritional science and their application for improving the health and well-being of people worldwide and to commemorate the life and contributions of EV McCollum, an American biochemist known for his work on the influence of diet on health. The lectureship is endowed by the EV McCollum International Lectureship Endowment Fund.
Roberts received the award at the American Society for Nutrition’s annual meeting, held recently in Chicago, that attracted nearly 3,000 scientists and nutrition professionals from around the world. Her lecture was titled, What Next? 8 Suggested Areas for Next-Generation Nutrition Research to Improve Global Health. Roberts is the only scientist to receive the top awards for both domestic and international nutrition.
