Using Nazi-occupied Europe as a lens through which to examine contemporary ethics in a variety of professions, third-year student Natalie Ring, is among 15 international medical students chosen by the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics to study the issue.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2017-18 Swigart Ethics Fellowships. Two fellowships will be awarded to selected Geisel students working jointly with a faculty member to undertake an ethics focused project.
Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine received a grant renewal from the Fogarty International Center at the National Institutes of Health to support ongoing programs to develop research bioethics expertise throughout the east sub-Saharan Africa region.
Dr. Bill Nelson is passionate about teaching ethics to medical students and has made a gift to help ensure that such teaching has enduring support at the Geisel School of Medicine.
