Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Of Service with Keynote Speaker Barbara Ross-Lee

In January of 2024, we will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his impact on our fight to end hunger. A great way to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day is to share his boldness to end hunger.

Taking place each year on the third Monday in January, the Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service (MLK Day) is the only federal holiday that is also designated by Congress as a National Day of Service – “A Day ON not A Day OFF.” In honor of MLK Day and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of justice and anti-poverty work, we will be inviting our Geisel/Dartmouth Health community members to help address food insecurity in our local communities (New Hampshire and Vermont).

Join the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement (DICE) on Monday, January 15, 2024, 11:00am – 1:00pm at DH Auditorium E&F in celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a campus awards luncheon and featured keynote by Barbara Ross-Lee, DO, FACOFP, the first Black woman medical school dean and now the inaugural President of Maryland College of Osteopathic Medicine at Morgan State University. She is also the sister of acclaimed singer Diana Ross.
