Building a Strong Foundation

Dean Chip Souba began to think hard about leadership in the 1990s, as a professor of surgery at the University of Florida. He realized that academic medical centers were so complex and had so many different stakeholders and constituents that it was essential to get people to work together.

Souba and members of the Geisel community are now working to help train physicians and medical students to become strong leaders. You can read more about the Medical School's efforts to improve leadership skills in the winter 2014 issue of Dartmouth Medicine.
