Ninety-six first-year medical students at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine marked the start of a new academic year this week, participating in four days of orientation sessions and activities designed to develop interpersonal relationships and familiarize them with the Geisel community.

This week 92 first-year medical students at Geisel School of Medicine and 88 students in the medical school’s Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Science (MS) hybrid and residential programs at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, spent time getting to know each other during separate orientation sessions before immersing themselves in their medical education. 

Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine welcomed 92 first-year medical students to the Upper Valley while observing COVID-19 safety protocols and new students got to know each other during a variety of virtual orientation sessions that included an orienteering activity.
