Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine has been awarded a 5-year, $12.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to establish a Center for Quantitative Biology that will bring together and enhance initiatives in computational biology, bioinformatics, and experimental genomics across Dartmouth.
Christina Angeles, MD, assistant professor of surgery, has been selected as the recipient of the 2017-18 SYNERGY Scholars Mentored Career Development Award, funded through Dartmouth SYNERGY Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
Meeting for the first time at a Harvard Macy Institute course in early fall, two Geisel faculty with a shared interest in learning how to leverage the Web and social media to create learning networks, came together as part of a collegial think tank dedicated to harnessing new perspectives in practicing medicine and educating medical students.
