The Geisel School of Medicine has welcomed new students from the medical, Master of Public Health (residential and hybrid), and Health Care Research MS programs to the medical school community. For many, this marked their first steps into the medical and healthcare professions.
From July 7–10, 2026, Dartmouth College welcomed researchers, clinicians, patients, and policy leaders from around the world for the 13th International Shared Decision Making (ISDM) Conference. This year’s theme, “A Wider Lens,” explored shared decision-making across specialties, care settings, and health systems.
On Friday, June 12, Geisel School of Medicine celebrated the academic accomplishments of 159 MPH and MS Health Sciences Education graduates, including the first online master’s degree cohort in implementation science.

On Friday, March 21, fourth-year MD students from the Geisel School of Medicine Class of 2025 gathered at the Lebanon Opera House to celebrate Match Day with family, friends, and members of the Geisel and Dartmouth communities.

Geisel School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy during its third annual, “I AM THE DREAM: Past, Present and Future” service awards luncheon on January 17. This year’s “Food is Medicine” theme, centered on King’s civil rights fight to end hunger and food insecurity—he believed food equity is a critical component of social justice.
More than 100 members of the Geisel School of Medicine’s research community gathered recently in Auditorium E at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to learn about some of the most advanced tools and technologies available today within the areas of single cell and spatial transcriptomics.
