Making Cruel Unusual

The Economist - Cites research by Dror Ben-Zeev, assistant professor of psychiatry, on the incorporation of technology into the treatment of mental illness. Ben-Zeev has conducted several promising trials using mobile phones to keep patients with mental health issues out of hospitals. In its most basic form this means using text messages to ask them how they are feeling and remind them to take their medication.
