Dartmouth Community Medical School Reprises Brain and Neurosciences Program

HANOVER, NH - "What's On Your Mind?" a reprise of Dartmouth Community Medical School's popular 2002 series, opens Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. in Kellogg Auditorium at the Dartmouth Medical School campus in Hanover.

The eight-week course explores the neurosciences-the next frontier of medicine, repeating the program that sold out this spring. It also begins Wednesday, Sept. 18 in Manchester at the Derryfield School.

The first session focuses on the brain-that remarkable three-pound universe inside our heads. "The incredible tools that scientists now have available are providing extraordinary insights into how the brain works. In this series we will take a remarkable journey into the very essence of who we are as humans and as individuals," said Dr. Donald St. Germain, director of Dartmouth Community Medical School.

DCMS was initiated in 1998 to open the doors of the medical school and share the excitement of medicine and research with the public.

You are welcome to cover the series. Please call to schedule interviews, "live" shots and/or photo opportunities for opening night or any subsequent sessions.
