Dr. Sandra L. Wong, the William W. Coon Professor of Surgical Oncology and Associate Chair of Clinical Affairs at the University of Michigan Health System, has been named Chair of Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and Senior Vice President of the Surgical Service Line at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Her term begins October 26.

The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth celebrated the accomplishments of 88 new graduates of its MD program during Class Day ceremonies on Saturday, June 6 at Dartmouth’s Leede Arena.

Wesley A. Benbow, MBA, Named Executive Dean for Administration and Finance at Geisel
Wesley A. Benbow, MBA, has been named Executive Dean for Administration and Finance for the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. In this role, Mr. Benbow will be responsible for the management of all of Geisel’s administrative, financial, and non-academic affairs.
Geisel PostDoc Lilian Kabeche Wins Award for Cancer Research
Lilian Kabeche, a postdoctoral researcher in genetics at Dartmouth’s Norris Cotton Cancer Center and a recent Geisel PhD graduate, received the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) Beckman Coulter Distinguished Graduate Student Achievement Prize.
