On Saturday morning, May 28, the Geisel School of Medicine’s 99 graduates joyously gathered with family and friends outdoors on Dartmouth’s Class of 1978 Life Sciences Center lawn to celebrate the close of their academic studies and the beginning of their careers as physicians.

On May 26, Geisel celebrated the Class of ’21 during the annual Class Day ceremony.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, the Geisel School of Medicine held a virtual Class Day ceremony to ensure the health and safety of the Dartmouth community and graduates’ families on June 6, 2020.
Geisel School of Medicine’s Class Day ceremony will be held virtually on June 6 while keeping traditional elements including regalia, guest speakers, and the Hippocratic oath.
On June 1, an excited group of 100 graduating medical students gathered for a final rite of passage—receiving their MD degrees and celebrating their accomplishments with family and friends at Geisel School of Medicine’s annual Class Day ceremony.
The Geisel School of Medicine’s annual Class Day event celebrating our graduating medical students will be on Saturday, June 1 at 9:00 AM in Spaulding Auditorium. This year’s keynote speaker is Anne Schuchat MED ’84, the principal deputy director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and a retired rear admiral from the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service. Anne Schuchat MED ’84, the principal deputy director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and a retired rear admiral from the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS), will be the featured speaker at Geisel’s 2019 Class Day Ceremony, which will be held Saturday, June 1 at the Hopkins Center’s Spaulding Auditorium.
On June 8, The Dartmouth Institute celebrated 84 MPH, MS, and PhD graduates during its Class Day ceremony, at which students were hooded and awarded their diplomas. This newly minted group of Dartmouth alumni also includes the Institute’s first online MPH class of 28 students. Read more…
