Nicole Borges Appointed to National Leadership Role within AAMC
Nicole J. Borges, PhD, has been named Chair-Elect of the Association of American Medical College’s Medical Education Scholarship, Research, and Evaluation (MESRE) Section effective immediately.
Geisel Students Chad Lewis and Alex Lindqwister Receive National Recognition
Two Geisel medical students were recognized during the Association of American Medical Colleges annual meeting for their demonstrated leadership and commitment to diversity. Chad Lewis ’20 has received a prestigious Herbert W. Nickens Scholarship award, and Alex Lindqwister ’21, was elected national chair of the AAMC Organization of Student Representatives.
AAMC Healthcare Equity and Diversity Expert to Speak at Special Grand Rounds
David A. Acosta, MD, FAAFP, chief diversity and inclusion officer at the Association of American Medical Colleges, will present at a special Medicine and Surgery combined grand rounds on Friday, Sept. 7 at 8:00 AM.
AAMC Award for Geisel and CHaD Project to Improve Care of Opioid-Exposed Newborns
A team of Geisel faculty, students, and pediatric staff at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock received a Clinical Care Innovation Challenge Award from the Association of American Medical Colleges for creating a new model of care for in utero opioid-exposed and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome-affected newborns.
