2017-18 Swigart Ethics Fellowships
Applications are now being accepted for the 2017-18 Swigart Ethics Fellowships. Two fellowships will be awarded to selected Geisel students working jointly with a faculty member to undertake an ethics focused project.

Event: “It’s Criminal” Documentary Screening and Discussion Dec. 8
Join Beyond the Books in Chilcott Auditorium on Thursday, December 8 at 7:30 pm for a sneak preview of the new documentary, “It’s Criminal.” This film shares the life-changing experiences of 14 Dartmouth students and 10 female prisoners who worked together in the Telling My Story program at Dartmouth.
Surachai Supattapone Named Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science
Surachai Supattapone, MD, PhD, a professor of biochemistry and cell biology at the Geisel School of Medicine, is among four Dartmouth professors named fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world’s largest general scientific society and the publisher of the journal Science.
Building a Common IRB Platform for Advancing Research
Led by Alan I. Green, MD, a team of scientists at Dartmouth SYNERGY Clinical and Translational Science Institute and Geisel’s department of Biomedical Data Science are helping to lead a national effort to centralize IRB (institutional review board) review for clinical research among the NIH’s 64 CTSA research centers.
Informatics Expert Blackford Middleton to Give Biomedical Data Science Seminar
Blackford Middleton, MD, MPH, MSc, Chief Informatics & Innovation Officer at Apervita, Inc., will present a seminar entitled, “Toward a Learning Health System: Informatics Obstacles and Opportunities,” on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at 9:00 AM in Auditorium G at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
