Match Day—A Medical School Milestone
On Match Day thousands of fourth-year medical students across the U.S simultaneously learn where they will start their residency training after graduation. For medical students, the annual event is one of the most anticipated, exciting, and emotional days of their medical education. A snow squall couldn’t get in the way of the Geisel community coming out to support second-year medical students presenting their summer research at the ninth annual “Geisel School Research Poster Presentation Night” on January 8th at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. This year’s Geisel MLK celebration will focus on bringing a social justice and equity lens to addiction, fostering awareness of harm reduction and health promotion, offering hope to those struggling with addiction and engaging with community efforts to envision paths toward healing.
Geisel Graduates Celebrate the Next Phase of their Careers
On June 1, an excited group of 100 graduating medical students gathered for a final rite of passage—receiving their MD degrees and celebrating their accomplishments with family and friends at Geisel School of Medicine’s annual Class Day ceremony.
