Now entering its second year, the Dartmouth Innovations Accelerator for Cancer has attracted more than $3.5 million in philanthropy and has helped 17 research teams advance their work. More than 20 alumni and parents from across Dartmouth have given of their time, expertise, and philanthropic support to the Accelerator and to establish a robust network of affiliated entrepreneurs, industry partners and investors. All together, these efforts are solving unmet needs in cancer care and will ultimately improve patients’ lives.
From November 2020 to April 2021, 17 teams of faculty and students participated in the Accelerator and then pitched their projects to an external review panel, competing for three cash awards to help advance their innovations. Read more about the 2021 winning teams. In addition, year two of the Accelerator is underway with faculty already preparing for the next round of application submissions.

About the Accelerator
The Accelerator is a joint initiative of Dartmouth and Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Norris Cotton Cancer Center and Dartmouth’s Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship. It provides research teams with the entrepreneurial support, education, and infrastructure needed to translate innovations into the marketplace. With guidance from alumni and industry leaders—and with philanthropic gifts from generous donors—the most promising Dartmouth cancer research advances through the development pipeline to commercialization.
