Geisel Community Service Day 2021

In compliance with Dartmouth’s most recent Covid guidelines, Geisel’s annual medical student Community Service Day took place in an outdoor tent on June 6, 2021. Spearheaded by Class of 2024 Community Service Committee members Andrew Lee, Phuong Nguyen, and Armin Tavakkoli, the class-wide event also involved Class of 2024, wellness, SNAP, and MEC representatives.

Matched with 20 families from the Claremont Soup Kitchen and Upper Valley Family Placement Program, thirty medical student volunteers purchased and packed care packages containing food, clothing, hygiene products, and household items based on each family’s needs. The boxes, along with a personalized card, will be delivered to the community partners for distribution.
