A fundraising, student-cooked dinner organized by Geisel’s Alpha Omega Alpha student chapter, raised $4,400 to support Listen’s Housing Helper Program, which supports individuals in the Upper Valley who are struggling with affordable housing—a primary issue facing low-income families.

More than 65 faculty and students attended the event that included remarks by Listen representatives, including Kyle Fisher, acting executive director. A lively discussion and spirited auction rounded out the evening.

So far, Geisel students have raised $11,400 dollars toward housing support, financial counseling, and assistance with transportation costs to low-income individuals and families in the Upper Valley.

Pleased with the success of the fundraiser, event co-planners, Aaron Briggs ’19 and Anna Fretz ’19, hope this will become an annual event.
