As part of our new alumni speaker series, Dr. Joyce Sackey, DC '85 and DMS '89, will be here next Thursday and Friday, February 27 & 28, 2003.

On Thursday, 2/27/03, there will be a reception for her in Chilcott from 5:00 to 5:30 PM followed by her presentation on her AIDS foundation and work in Africa. We hope you will all be able to attend this event and hear her inspiring story.

Dr. Sackey is an Associate in Medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She is Medical Director of the North Suite in Healthcare Associates and serves on the Practice Management committee of the Division of General Medicine.

Dr. Sackey is also active in community service and has served as mentor and advisor for the Boston Fellows Program, Visiting clerkship program and the Biomedical Science Career program. She is also the founder of the Foundation for African Relief (FAR) and program director of the AIDS Collaborative Project, an initiative which represents a partnership between Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and FAR.
