We are thrilled to introduce the Research Excellence Awards program, a brand-new initiative to celebrate the outstanding scientific contributions and advancements within our community. In launching this program, we've established award categories that reflect the wide spectrum of expertise among our faculty and staff:
- Research Excellence Award for Assistant Professors in Foundational Science
- Research Excellence Award for Associate/Full Professors in Foundational Science
- Research Excellence Award for Assistant Professors in Clinical Science
- Research Excellence Award for Associate/Full Professors in Clinical Science
- Research Excellence Award for Non-faculty (staff or non-faculty academic)
- Outstanding Citizenship Award for Faculty
- Outstanding Citizenship Award for Non-faculty (staff or non-faculty academic)
Nominees should exemplify scientific scholarship through significant author contributions, peer-reviewed awards, or honorary distinctions. Outstanding Citizenship Awards will honor contributions that enhance our research community, including the development of core resources, commitment to mentoring, research support, integrity, excellence, and social responsibility.
Nominations open March 12, and close on April 12 and can be submitted via this link. Requirements include the nominee’s CV or resume, details of their noteworthy contribution or accolade within the award year, and a narrative on its impact within their field.
Eligibility is confined to individuals with active faculty appointments or current employment at Geisel or Dartmouth Health. A committee will oversee the selection process, with winners announced at the Dean's State of the School address in June.
This initiative is a fantastic opportunity to recognize the exceptional achievements of our peers. I encourage everyone to engage in this celebration of excellence. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact GeiselResearch@dartmouth.edu.
