The Kern National Network for Flourishing in Medicine (KNN) Student Chapter at Geisel was formed in fall of 2022.
KNN is a national movement whose work is focused on the integration of four foundational elements within the profession of medicine: character, caring, practical wisdom and flourishing. The dynamic and synergistic relationship between the core constructs of character, caring, practical wisdom and flourishing are demonstrated in the KNN Framework for Flourishing. The KNN partners with medical schools and other stakeholders nationwide to transform healthcare’s educational and practice settings and create the conditions of possibility for flourishing. The KNN chapter at Geisel focuses on bringing these ideals to the Geisel community. Students have organized and participated in podcasts, a student-led retreat, narrative medicine sessions, presented at National conferences, and more.
