Alexandra Howell, PhD, a research biologist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Junction, VT, and a professor at Geisel, has received the VISN 1 Network Director’s ICARE award from the VA New England Healthcare System.
Paula Schnurr, PhD, a Research Professor of Psychiatry at Geisel and Executive Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, was presented with the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies Lifetime Achievement Award at the organization’s annual meeting in New Orleans in November.
Valley News – Dr. Florian Schroeck, chief of urology at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Junction and a member of Norris Cotton Cancer Center’s Cancer Control Research Program, has received the Conquer Cancer Foundation Career Development Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Students at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth are often seeking out ways to become involved in programs that allow them to customize their education and express creativity. Though the programs are not always directly connected to medicine, the overall goal is always to educate them on the best way to serve the communities they’ll be entering as physicians and scientists.
