The Geisel School of Medicine launched its new Learning Collaboratives for Flourishing in Medical Education at the beginning of this academic year. The learning collaboratives encompass academic success, practical wisdom, leadership skills, and career development—emphasizing support for the development of foundational skills that can help future physicians build a balanced and fulfilling life in medicine.
Recognizing that professionalism and wise decision-making are as vital as medical knowledge, Geisel School of Medicine is integrating character education into its preclinical curriculum. Led by Roshini Pinto-Powell, MD, a new pilot program, Building Wisdom and Flourishing, fosters self-reflection and holistic development to help students thrive in their careers and lives.
Four Geisel students are working with faculty to integrate content around caring for patients with disabilities into the school’s curriculum.
