Geisel Researchers Receive $1.2 Million Grant to Address Local Disparities in Cancer Care
A team of researchers at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, led by Inas Khayal, PhD, has received a $1.2 million funding award from the American Cancer Society to identify local healthcare disparities for over 2,000 hospitals providing cancer care across the U.S. to help them improve healthcare disparities and achieve better outcomes for patients.
Geisel Professor Named a 2022 National Academy of Inventors Fellow

Woloshin and Schwartz Receive National Leadership Award in Medical Decision Making
Steven Woloshin, MD, MS, a professor of medicine and community and family medicine at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, and Lisa Schwartz, MD, MS, his wife and research partner who died in 2018, have received the John E. Eisenberg Award for Practical Application of Medical Decision Making Research from the Society for Medical Decision Making.

Dartmouth-led Research Team Receives $3.3 Million Grant to Test Efficacy of Adding Audio Recordings to Clinic Visits with Older Adults
A Dartmouth-led research group, including investigators from Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) and the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), has received a $3.3 million grant from the National Institute on Aging to compare the impact of sharing visit recordings to care as usual in older adults with diabetes.
