The Geisel School of Medicine 2023 faculty awards were recently announced and three Department of Medical Education faculty members received recognition. Frances Lim-Liberty, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and of Medical Education was the Everett Koop MD, Courage Award faculty recipient. This award honors a faculty member whose courage in serving the public good continues the spirit of C. Everett Koop '37, the former surgeon general. The Basic Science Teaching Award, selected by graduating students, honors a basic science faculty member distinguished for excellence in teaching medical students. Dr. Alexander Fuld, Assistant Professor of Medicine and of Medical Education received the award. The Clinical Science Teaching Award is also selected by graduating students and was awarded to Rebecca Swenson, Assistant Professor of Medicine and of Medical Education for her excellence in teaching.
