The Syvertsen Scholars and Fellow program honors fourth-year Geisel School of Medicine students who exemplify the qualities that former dean Dr. Rolf Syvertsen stood for and have become deeply embedded in the culture of the medical school.

Cynthia Hahn has been named this year’s Rolf C. Syvertsen Fellow. Earlier this month, Hahn and five of her classmates were chosen as the 2015-16 Syvertsen Scholars. These merit awards honor the memory of Dr. Rolf C. Syvertsen, a former professor of anatomy, long-time dean, and beloved mentor to Dartmouth medical students from 1923 to 1960.
Geisel MD-PhD student and 2014-2015 Syvertsen Fellow Fadzai Chinyengetere wants to use the knowledge and skills she has developed at Dartmouth to help improve health care in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Six members of the Geisel School of Medicine Class of 2015 were selected as the 2014-2015 Rolf C. Syvertsen Scholars and Syvertsen Fellow.
