As a graduate of the CWRU School of Medicine’s Department of Nutrition and the coordinated Dietetic Internship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, Rima received this recognition based on her accomplishments, leadership and service. Rima Itani Al-Nimr, MS, RDN, LD is a lecturer in the departments of Medical Education and Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and a licensed and registered dietitian. At Geisel, Ms. Al-Nimr initiated and leads the Nutrition in Medicine Curriculum, one of few such formal nutrition curricula in medical schools in the USA and worldwide. She directs the development, pedagogy, and dissemination of nutrition science content in medical student education across the entire curriculum and serves as a faculty mentor and advisor to medical students with an interest in nutrition.
