The New Hampshire Area Health Education Center (AHEC) connects communities, healthcare professionals, students, and future health leaders through education, training, and career exploration opportunities.

The New Hampshire Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is a statewide network dedicated to improving health access, particularly in rural and underserved communities, by strengthening New Hampshire’s health and public health workforce.

Through education, training, and community partnerships, NH AHEC supports health professionals, health professions students, and young people exploring careers in health care. Programs are designed to meet workforce needs across the state while creating opportunities for learning, mentorship, and professional growth.

In the state of New Hampshire we have two regional sites, one in the north and one in the south:

Who Do We Serve?

Health
Professionals

NH AHEC provides continuing education opportunities including workshops, conferences, educational outreach, and professional development programs offering CME, nursing, social work, and other professional credits.

Health
Professions Students

The NH AHEC Health Scholars program provides public health, medical, nursing, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner students with interprofessional training, clinical experiences, simulation, and community-based learning opportunities.

Future
Health Leaders

High School Students interested in health careers can participate in hands-on learning through classroom activities, camps, and the Health Careers Institute at Dartmouth.
