The annual Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. I am the Dream: The Past, Present & Future awards ceremony will take place on Jan. 19, 2026, from 12:00pm- 2:00pm (lunch will be served at 11:30am) in Auditorium E&F at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC). The theme for this year’s Luncheon and Forum is: "Building Community and Uniting a Nation"

Our keynote is Dr. Uché Blackstock is a physician, thought leader, and founder of Advancing Health Equity (AHE), an organization dedicated to partnering with healthcare institutions to dismantle racism and close racial health gaps. A former associate professor at NYU School of Medicine, she has been a prominent voice in national media, including MSNBC and NBC News.

Her work has earned her numerous accolades, including the American Medical Women’s Association’s Presidential Award, Harvard Humanist of the Year, and recognition by TIME, Forbes, and Fortune as a leading innovator in health equity.

Her bestselling memoir, "LEGACY: A Black Physician Reckons with Racism in Medicine", chronicles her journey and advocacy. Dr. Blackstock holds both undergraduate and medical degrees from Harvard University.
