In memoriam: James C. Strickler, MD, dean emeritus
It is with deep sadness that I share the news that James C. Strickler, MD (D ’50 DMS ’51), dean emeritus and active emeritus professor of Medicine and of Community and Family Medicine, passed away peacefully on June 27. He was 99. He served as dean of Dartmouth Medical School from 1973 – 1981.
Transition in Leadership for Clinical Research
We want to share that Steven L. Bernstein, MD, chief research officer at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and senior associate dean for clinical and translational research at the Geisel School of Medicine, has accepted a new leadership opportunity at Yale School of Medicine. He will be departing on July 17.
Welcoming Our New Interim Leadership in the Office of Faculty Affairs

Gus joined Dartmouth in 1972 and was a cherished and devoted colleague who remained actively engaged in research, teaching, and service throughout his long career.
