We are deeply saddened to share the news of the unexpected passing of our colleague Gustav E. Lienhard, PhD, professor of Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Gus joined Dartmouth in 1972 and was a cherished and devoted colleague who remained actively engaged in research, teaching, and service throughout his long career.
We have been in contact with Gus’ family and our thoughts are with them during this difficult time. We will share additional information as it becomes available and provide a more detailed and appropriate tribute to Gus’ wonderful life and work in coming weeks.
