We are deeply saddened to share the news of the unexpected passing of our colleague Gustav E. Lienhard, PhD, professor of Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Gus joined Dartmouth in 1972 and was a cherished and devoted colleague who remained actively engaged in research, teaching, and service throughout his long career.

We are pleased to announce that following a national search, David M. Naeger, MD, FACR, FAAR, has been named Chair of the Department of Radiology. He will begin work in August 2024, filling the role previously held by Jocelyn Chertoff prior to her retirement.
Shane Chapman, MD, MBA, Named Chair, Department of Dermatology
We are pleased to announce that Shane Chapman, MD, MBA, has been named the inaugural Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, a role he has held on an interim basis since 2020.
