I) Dave presented the results of the AAMC Survey of Year 2001 Graduates

The survey addressed issues regarding the following subjects:

1. Demographics of Medical Students
2. Premedical Courses and Experiences
3. Preclinical Courses (Years 1 and 2)
4. Clinical Clerkships (Years 3 and 4)
5. Coverage of Specific Curricular Topics and Themes
6. Elective Experiences
7. Communication and Technology Skills
8. Preparation for Residency
9. Overall Satisfaction with School
10. Future Plans
11. DMS Support Services
12. Views of the Profession
13. Medical School Expenses

The results of the survey will be available on the DMS website shortly.

II) Dave presented a brief progress report on the implementation of Year 3 changes.

Agenda for next MEC meeting on March 19, 2002 in 758W Borwell:

1. Discussion of the Neurology Clerkship
2. Future agenda topics (April and May)
3. The role of computers and/or PDAs
4. VIG Reports(?)
