The C. Everett Koop, MD, Courage Award
Established in 2005, this award honors the career and values of Dr. C. Everett Koop and the enormous courage he showed in his lifelong quest for better health and health care. Both Geisel and, indeed, our nation are better places because of his efforts. In the hope of continuing and encouraging his spirit and courage, each year we honor both a student and a member of the faculty who have shown this courage in serving the public good.
