DICE Fellows

Geisel School of Medicine

Office of Diversity, Inclusivity, and Community Engagement (DICE) Fellow

Vision

The Office of Diversity, Inclusivity, and Community Engagement (DICE) is seeking a Geisel student who is committed, experienced, and passionate about improving the diversity, equity, and inclusivity at Geisel. Our goal is to provide a professional development and mentorship opportunity for such a student.

Description of Role

This is a 0.5 FTE (20 hours weekly) position with a $1250 monthly stipend that will report to the DICE Director. You will have opportunities to be directly mentored by the DICE Director and the Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ADDEI). We are seeking programmatic support in several of our initiatives - our pipelines and partnerships, on-campus events, recruitment, curriculum, and student life. We expect that this fellow’s role will be focused on a particular project that is developed and planned during the application process in conjunction with the DICE Director and ADDEI. The priority for selection will go to students who can commit at least 3 consecutive months to this role. The fellow should not be actively enrolled in classes or a clinical rotation, but doing a research or split year is acceptable. The fellow will be expected to attend DICE Office meetings, and this position allows for work from home.

Application

  1. What experience do you have with diversity, equity, and inclusivity initiatives at Geisel?
  2. How much time are you able to commit in consecutive or non-consecutive months?
  3. Do you anticipate needing specific funds to support your project? If so, please submit a detailed budget along with your proposal.
  4. Please describe your project which would support the DICE Office’s initiatives and provide a timeline. Please reach out to the DICE Director and/or the ADDEI to develop this project plan.

To Apply, please email your responses to the above application questions and an updated resume to Geisel.Diversity@dartmouth.edu. We will respond to your application within 30 days.
