Discussion on Black Men in White Coats (BMWC)

with Dr. Dale Okorodudu

Black Men In White Coats is a movement to support young African American men and boys who dream to become Medical Doctors. BMWC was the vision of Dr. Dale Okorodudu, who launched the BMWC website six years ago after seeing a 2013 Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) report that the already under-represented percentage of black men in medical school was decreasing. In response, Dr. Okorodudu filmed the very first Black Men In White Coats video, which was released May 19th, 2013. Dr. Okorordudu has graciously agreed to lead us in a discussion on this film.

They will learn strategies to skillfully work with thoughts, emotions, and sensations. Through guided meditations and mindful movement, they will develop their capacity to enhance mind-body awareness of present-moment experience.
