2022 Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month Celebration

All are Invited to Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month!

Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month is observed annually in May to celebrate the contributions that generations of AAPIs have made to American history, society, and culture. The Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA), AAPI Employee Resource Group at Dartmouth Health, the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement (DICE), and the Office of Alumni Engagement invite you to join us for four free events (listed below) to learn about and celebrate the AAPI community.

Wednesday, May 4, 2022, 5:30-6:30pm ET | Exploring Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Identity
Auditorium E, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon NH 03766

Join us to view and discuss a short PBS video “Are you ‘AAPI’ or ‘Asian American’? It’s Complicated.” We will explore our evolving identity, inclusivity across our diverse cultures, and the concept of allyship.

Boba tea and snacks will be available. You may also bring your own dinner. This event will be accessible by WebEx for those unable to attend in person.

 

Thursday, May 12, 2022, 5-7pm ET | Asian Collection Docent Tour and Reception
Hood Museum of Art, 6 E. Wheelock St., Hanover, NH 03755

Mingle and learn on this tour of selections from the Asian Collection by the Associate Curator of Education at the Hood Museum. Viewings will take place from 5-6pm followed by a reception with music and hors d’oeurves from 6-7pm. To help us plan for food, please RSVP here.
