Sun Protection Outreach Teaching by Students
Educating Upper Valley Youth About Sun Safety and Skin Cancer Prevention
SPOTS (Sun Protection Outreach Teaching by Students) is a community outreach program designed to teach students from preschool through high school about the importance of early detection and prevention of skin cancer. Medical students visit local schools to educate students on sun-safe habits, avoiding artificial tanning beds, and performing skin self-examinations.

As a National Skin Smart Certified Campus, the Geisel School of Medicine and Dartmouth College are committed to fostering healthy learning and living environments both on and off campus through skin cancer prevention education and policy initiatives.
