Other professional information: Most recently, I completed a Data Science Internship at Ruby, a startup in Menlo Park, CA. Besides this, I have done several other internships such as a Computer Vision Internship at SportsVisio, Inc. (a startup in Boston), and a Machine Learning Internship at Irident, Inc. (a startup in Connecticut).
In my free time, I love playing with data and creating data science related projects. I recently created a Recession Predictor that can predict a Recession in the USA based on various factors such as unemployment rate and inflation. Furthermore, I worked as a Computational Biology Research Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University for a year under Prof. Hari Easwaran. We worked on identifying aberrant methylation patterns of BRCA gene mutations.

My research interests are: I would love to apply my data science and machine learning skills to biological data and work on solving meaningful problems.
Besides working at The Johns Hopkins University, I have also worked on Lung Cancer Research using Computer Vision under Prof. Margrit Betke, the Director of AI Research Initiative, at Boston University.
Career track: Industry
My career goals are: I want to work in a Data Science role right after graduation. Being a Computer Scientist and having done numerous internships and projects in the past, I believe that I would be a very good fit for the role.
Therefore, currently I am targeting to get a Data Science Internship for Summer 2023.
I chose QBS because: QBS offers the perfect mix of Biology and Computer Science that I wanted. It will even train to me to become an excellent data scientist in the industry. Furthermore, the opportunity to work with and learn from such renowned faculty is a dream come true.
