My research interests are: I am interested in computational techniques in statistics and machine learning as a means of broadening our understanding of the world around us. In my past research experiences I have been able to apply machine learning techniques to help understand genomic structural, gene expression, cancer mutation profile, and social network data.
Career track: Industry
My career goals are: I hope to find a career as a machine learning engineer so that I may uncover valuable insights in a variety of data types. My long term career goals are to someday lead and mentor a team of other bright and passionate data scientists.
I chose QBS because: I chose QBS because it is an innovative and contemporary program that combines aspects of all of my primary research interests in statistics, computer science, and healthcare.
Recreational Interests: I consider myself an avid rock climber; I have been climbing for at least 8 years. I am incredibly grateful to have been able to travel all over the world to climb at some amazing destinations, and to have competed at national events.
