Pathways of Concentration

Pathways of Concentration offer medical students the opportunity to explore areas of personal and professional interest in greater depth alongside the required curriculum. Designed to foster early professional growth and intentional career development, each Pathway combines experiential learning, mentorship, and scholarly engagement to help students build specialized expertise in a chosen area of focus, addressing the health needs of populations of patients who are underserved or who may not have equitable access to medical care. Through these optional enrichment programs, which address health through an equity lens, students connect their classroom and curricular learning to real-world impact—gaining focused knowledge, hands-on experience, and guided reflection that prepare them to become thoughtful, innovative leaders in healthcare.

The application cycle opens each fall; students may apply to only one pathway.
