Dr. Simmons specializes in the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the skin such as: psoriasis, atopic dermatosis, and blistering inflammatory skin diseases. Other areas of focus are complex medical dermatology, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, use of biologics and cosmetic dermatology. He is a co-author on over 55 peer reviewed publications, some in high impact journals such as the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology and Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology, author on multiple book chapters in a wide array of dermatologic topics and is active in multiple dermatology clinical trials at Dartmouth Health.

Dr. Simmons is the Vice Chair of Operations, director of social media and website, director of clinical trials, and is director of the Immunobullous specialty clinic.
