I would like to thank the many people who volunteered or provided nominations for membership on the new Geisel Committee on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. The response that we received was exceptional from staff, students and faculty, and there were far more nominations/volunteers than we could accommodate on the initial committee composition.
I would like to emphasize that service on this committee will be on a rotating basis, so there will be opportunities for other members of our community to serve in the future as the membership changes.
As a reminder, this committee is charged with developing recommendations and implementation plans to inform our efforts to increase diversity and foster greater inclusiveness in the Geisel community and among our partnering institutions. Recommendations would include planning for the allocation and prioritization of financial resources committed for these purposes.

I would also like to make everyone aware that we have created a publicly accessible dashboard to highlight the efforts underway to enhance diversity, equity and inclusion. The dashboard will serve as a tool to track our goals toward creating a more equitable and inclusive workplace and learning environment.
