Together with clinical colleagues at Dartmouth Health, we provide advising to the the American Academy of Neurology Special Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN) chapter at Geisel and lead the ‘Neurology through Film’ Enrichment Opportunity for medical students.
We have partnered with STEM teachers to provide summer research experiences to high school students from underrepresented groups in medicine to engage them in biomedical research in university laboratories and college-readiness training. STEM RISE is an award-winning, NSF-funded program, now in its second year, that trains medicals students as near-peer mentors to high school students to provide safe and nurturing research experiences and educational opportunities that help promote equity in STEM & Medicine education.
