What is Mental Health First Aid?
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training that equips participants to:
- Recognize when someone may be experiencing a mental health challenge
- Respond appropriately in situations across a spectrum of severity
Mental Health First Aid:
- Introduces a core set of skills
- Familiarizes participants with Dartmouth College and community resources
- Includes practice applying skills and identifying appropriate resources
What does the training involve?
Participants will:
- First complete 2.0-2.5 hours of online, self-paced prework (video modules)
- Then attend a full-day, in-person, interactive training hosted by Geisel on Thursday, May 29th from 9am-4pm in Kellogg 200
