In an effort to provide "family" care in a central location, the new Primary Care at Heater Road, which encompasses Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and Pediatrics was opened in November 2012.
The Family Medicine staff includes physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Patient services encompass Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Sports Medicine, Behavioral Health, Psychiatric consultation, Nutrition Counseling, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Laboratory services. Primary care is provided by four care teams composed of physicians, associate providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants), medical students, nurses, medical assistants, secretaries, and other support staff.
Additional clinical services include embedded behavioral health and psychiatric consultation; primary care spine clinic with a full-time chiropractor, acupuncture services, a women's health clinic, integrative and functional medicine consults, and community health worker resources.
